Yeehaw, Alex goes country

It started as a shootout and ended up in a funeral. Oops, it started like a funeral and ended up in a shootout. It's tough, even if they pay you big bucks, to lose your friends.

from 'A view from the Cheap Seats'

Your time with us was far too brief
We wish you needn't part
We'll miss your smiles, we'll miss your frowns
But you're always in our heart

You're moving on, the deadline past
We knew this day may come
Yet part of you in us will last
You'll always be our chum

Your lanky frame a familiar sight
Your accent strong and proud
You never backed down from a fight
You made us cheer out loud

But now you're off to Buffalo
We wish you wouldn't leave
The best of luck to you my friend
We'll try hard not to grieve

Ovechkin: "If our boss says he must be traded, he's traded. We can't do nothing. We are just players and they are bosses. Right now, we have a group of guys who stick together."

Ovechkin's 1st goal ignited the team. 2 goals, 2 assists after two periods for Ovechkin.

I told you, the textbook goal scoring in the previous game was a really good sign.

Alex Ovechkin in the interview to sport-express: "The Coach told me, just continue to work, play as you can, shoot more often."

Boy, Brent Johnson really sucked tonight. Caps need to get rid of him. He is completely unreliable, one day he is better than Kolzig, another day he is worse than high school goalie. You have to expect some kind of consistency, especially from the goalie playing in NHL.

Meanwhile Sidney Crosby club (guys who score more goals than Crosby) is growing.
