Wow, there were bunch of updates on real Ovechkin blog at LiveJournal, the last one is dated April 10, 2008 where Ovechkin talks about Malkin:
A lot of people ask what's going on between me and Malkin. I'd say nothing special is going on. The fact that we had hit each other on ice is absolutely normal, we play hockey, not chess. We don't have any conflicts or antagonisms, I am even surprised that so many people have asked about it. Evgeny and I are not real friends, as he said in his interview, but this is absolutely normal. In short, we have the usual fight, one player going against the other and nothing more. So, I hope we have closed this topic))

You suck...I don't care how many goals you scored...It was 1 short as you did not score in game 7's OT. You are a cocky ass, and that is why we BOO you...Not because you suck (as I mentioned before), but because we hate you! There is no "I" in team, so take your 60-whatever goals and shove them. They were all meaningless as you were ousted in the 1st round.

Haha it's funny reading this shyt. How were the goals meaningless dumbass...that's the reason caps made the playoffs that year.
Plus Ovechkin always mentions the team before himself, wherever he goes..says I don't care about scoring, as long as team wins. So it's stupid that u make unreasonable assumptions based on your pathetic little brain.
And so what if Ovechkin is a little cocky; unlike other players, he can back it up too.
ps - Mike Richards has never had more than 75 points in a season!
Alex you are very talented but unlike the other professional sports hockey is as much about hard work, humility, teamwork and sportsmanship as it is about talent and you are a one-trick pony!
ovie your a pimp, I normally don't like the russian style of Hockey but yours is a lot more hard hitting and you play with a lot of heart. Snipin some sick ones in playoffs as well keep er up bud
all i hear from people now is how much ovie sucks..those people are dumb because he's been setting records since the day he was drafted by the caps..and he'll be setting them from that te'll he retires. you guys say ovie sucks well the truth is you guys suck.
