Slava Fetisov A Senator

On Friday the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai elected Vyacheslav Fetisov to the post of a Senator from the provincial parliament. His candidacy was supported by 28 out of 29, according to RIA Novosti.

The two times Olympic champion and seven times World hockey Champion Fetisov was the head of RosSport until recently.



Fetisov was awarded with many state awards, among them the Order of "Merit to the Fatherland" of IV-th degree, and is the winner of 'Peter the Great' prize "For outstanding contribution to the development and strengthening of the Russian State".
