Fedorov hit the rock bottom
The other day I got an email from Kim, Sergei Fedorov's fan. She said that she discovered my blog this summer and asked if I could start another blog about Fedorov.
My answer was that no way I could start another blog though I am Fedorov's fan myself, this one takes all my spare time. (Those bloggers have no life, eh? :-) Sometimes I ask myself why I am doing it. Well, if some people read it, it is an ultimate answer. But if you guys are buying something online, like on Amazon, can you do it through my blog? Nobody will get hurt and everybody will be happy. :-) I'll take my tiny % from Amazon or other advertizers if you buy it through there.
Anyhow back to Sergei Fedorov. We should cherish every moment when this great hockey Master is on ice. And it might be his last season. Though Fedorov gets booed in Detroit, I believe there are still a lot of real Red Wings fans who appreciate what he did for Red Wings. Sadly Michigan's economy is bad and a lot of people leaving, that's why Red Wings transplants are everywhere.

I read the post on Caps forum from a lady who met Fedorov in the mall. I don't think I will be able to find it, but anyway, Fedorov was walking largely unnoticed when she approached him. It was a complete surprise for him. She said "Welcome to Washington, Sergei!" and said that she was a big Red Wings fan and was in the White House when Sergei and Red Wings met with the President. Maybe that episode was in Fedorov mind too when he really wanted to sign only with Caps organization this summer. As Alex Semin said, "Seryoga," this is how Semin calls him, "really wanted to sign with Caps."
As I mentioned in my previous post Fedorov got 475(?) carnations from a fan. Here is more from DC Sports Bog, Nov. 7, 2008:
If you were a big Caps fan and were especially fond of Sergei Fedorov, one thing you might have done to celebrate his becoming the NHL's all-time leading Russian goal scorer would be to pump your fist.

Another option would be to send 475 red carnations to Fedorov, one for each of Fedorov's goals, care of the Caps. Because that wouldn't be weird at all. The floral excess arrived yesterday, in all its rocking-the-red glory, although Fedorov went out and got hurt that night. Maybe next time roses would be better. I'm told that Fedorov was very appreciative of the gesture, if a bit taken aback. And since it's hard for one man to handle 475 flowers at once, he gave many of them to the team's office staff.
Well, Corey Masisak had more details,
"Finally, Sergei Fedorov received an interesting gift yesterday. A female fan from Texas sent him 474 red carnations to congratulate him on breaking Alexander Mogilny's record for most goals by a Russian player."...but he counted one carnation less. :-)
Do you live in Texas, Kim? :-)
And finally about Fedorov's injury... Tarik reports that Fedorov might miss a couple of games at most:
As I mentioned in the previous post, Shaone Morrisonn and Sergei Fedorov did not practice today. They are "questionable" for tomorrow's game against Tampa Bay, while Chris Clark, who did skate, is "possible".
Asked how hopeful he is that Morrisonn and/or Fedorov will be able to play, Boudreau said: "I would look at Wednesday."
Forsberg or Fedorov? Nobody asks this question anymore...
Mogilny - Fedorov - Bure? How about Ovechkin - Fedorov - Semin?

Kournikova? Yep, she broke his heart, but she is gone... Life goes on for Fedorov, and chicks still send him the flowers.
Looking to order something on Amazon? Why not through this blog to support it?
