Flyers trade making room for Shanahan?

VOORHEES — In a deal that should clean up some shaky play on the Flyers' blue line and could clear the way for signing Brendan Shanahan, the Flyers acquired 24-year-old defenseman Matt Carle from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday in exchange for defenseman Steve Eminger and right wing Steve Downie.

I hope it will never happen and Shanny will never end up with Flyers. Would be cool if he'd join Fedorov in Washington, but I know, it's a pipe dream.
