The Washington Coach Bruce Boudreau re-established the line of Semin - Fedorov - Ovechkin that was dominating the World Cup, and it gave the immediate result. The troika got six points. However Alexander the Great can't score the goal for the eighth game in a row.

When you made a pass to Fedorov, you were skating with your back to him. How were you able to see him?
To be honest, we agreed in advance who is running where. It was a home work. Same was with the second goal by Sasha Semin. I could shoot myself, but why if your partner is opened? In the last game when we played against Ottawa the ice was terrible. The puck was jumping all the time, we could not stay in their zone. This time Caps were skating very well. This is one of the reasons of our victory.


Why did you cut your hair?
The hair was too long, was really hampering the vision.
