Semin has spoken again

 Some excerpts from Semin's interview to SovSport.ru, Nov. 11, 2008, by Dmitri Chesnokov:

In this season Bruce Boudreau started using you not only on PP, but on PK too. Before it was difficult to believe this could ever happen.
Boudreau came to me before the season and said: "I saw how you and Fedorov played at the World Cup defensively. And you know, I liked it. Now you and Ovechkin will be playing on PK." And the whole thing started. The confidence comes when you are playing, not sitting on a bench.

It's nteresting, do you think they are afraid of you in NHL?
Am I that terrible? Don't be afraid. I won't kill anybody.

But you are a very dangerous forward.
I've always played the same. It just happened that this season I produce more points. Once again, for any player it is very important to have the coach's credibility. If a hockey player doesn't have it, that's it, change the team, ask for a trade. It makes no sense beating up the wall with your head. No matter what, there won't be any results.

Most say that Semin is in the shadow of Ovechkin. Do you find it annoying?
Alex is in newspapers since childhood. I don't have any problems with that. If the glory would fall on Ovechkin from the sky, if they'd pull him by his ears, I would be the first to come to him and tell him that right in his face. But you can see that the guy has achieved everything by himself. Look at his stats. Yes, Ovechkin is promoted, but he earned it.

What will be Ovechkin's reaction if you'll outscore him this season?
He won't have any resentment for sure. This is hockey, not tennis, where they play one on one. Ovechkin is not the one who thinks only about himself, for him the team is first.
