The slump is over

FINALLY! Ovechkin has scored and ended his slump. He had 1 goal, 1 assist, 4 hits, 6 shots on goal and his +/- was +2.

What was unusual? Almost everything, at one point he was in excellent shooting position, but gave a pass. I thought, that's it, he had no confidence. Well, you can say Semin had the same situation, yes, but it is more typical for Semin. And then Alex scored very unusual goal for him redirecting a pass from Semin.

This was also a game where Semin had more ice time, normally this belongs to Ovechkin.

total shifts avg shift
Semin 21:33 16 01:20
Ovechkin 19:25 15 01:17
Backstrom 18:21 15 01:13

Still the shifts are way too long, Coach.

what a bitter sweet victory. good to see Olie again, it was rough to see the first 2 shots go in for us, but then awesome because we really need this win. now we're tied with the canes, if we lost we'd be behind them and tied with TB. so great win. Johnny again was splendid. Olie got into the grove after the first, which was nice to see. great goal by ovie. I mean phew it was close, right thru TB defenders legs to a waiting ovie stick, can;t be any more ovie-like. he had some great oppurtunities. like ive been saying i could care less if ovie scores as long as we win. the guy is trying and is throwing his body around, what more can we ask for (besides a goal lol) anyways good to see the drought end, and now I will end this long rant.
