Update on Morrisonn, Fedorov and Alex' new pads

Corey Masisak, TWT, Nov. 7, 2008:

Bruce Boudreau said Morrisonn's injury is not anything serious enough to put him on IR. Fedorov was walking with a pretty serious limp, and he said he wants to wait until tomorrow morning before deciding if he can play or not.

Boudreau said there is 'a good chance' Brent Johnson will be in net against the Rangers. He said he has to weigh Johnson's recent performance against possible fatigue for a guy who hadn't play in a while and would be his third in five games.

Boudreau said Tyler Sloan, who played three games with the team last month, would be a possibility.

Alex Ovechkin had a new set of shoulder pads in his stall, and I've got to say they are about the coolest thing I've seen in quite some time. They are red with his new clothing line's logo (the No. 8 with the medieval Russian army helmet on top) on each arm, and his signature in the bottom left corner.

Finally, Sergei Fedorov recieved an interesting gift yesterday. A female fan from Texas sent him 474 red carnations to congratulate him on breaking Alexander Mogilny's record for most goals by a Russian player.
