As far as I know St. Louis replaced Crosby, not Lecavalier... unless St. Louis refused...
lecavalier is already a reserve. i think it was saying that lecavalier would replace crosby as a starter.
that to me is wrong because ovie deserves it more. we know this all-star game is not about honoring those players that have had a good season anymore, but now is just a big media event. so since lecavalier is the hometown boy i think the nhl is going to go that route.
Oh, I see... thanks... I was hoping too, but maybe it's good that somebody else, not Ovechkin, would replace Crosby... less controversy...
Did you know that the NHL was going to give Ovie's #8 to Komisarek because of seniority? Ovie apparently protested and Komisarek gave him his # back after he heard that Ovie wanted it...
hey, where did you read that komi # thing? i saw on montreal's hf board the same thing, but it also said that komi said something like "you have to please the superstars".
if the league really did give AO's # to komi it would not surprise me. this league is a total joke, they are lucky their fans are die-hard enough that they stick through this crap. hate to say it, but do you think the league would have ever given sid's # to someone else because of seniority? me neither.
and if the above is true and AO does not start, it would be the cherry on the top of embarrassment for this league. this is the NHL all star game, not the MONTREAL all star game. i dont care where lecavalier is from he should not be in over AO.

Even if seniority determines who gets a #, if the ASG is really about publicizing the game like the league says, they'd give Ovie the #8 because thats his # and that's how ppl are going to recognize him, especially fans who are new to the game...

Just saw an inverview of Ovechkin on NHL Network and he mentioned that he had a microphone attached to him because he was doing a reality TV show for MTV Cribs and the Playboy Mansion or something? Does anyone know anything about this?
i think he was joking about mtv and playboy. i know the nhl mic'd up some of the guys last year while on the ice and in the locker room, so it probably is with some nhl or sports network. but dont have a definite answer.
