Malkin on Ovechkin, Semin and Crosby in interview to SovSport

Can you shed the light on the mystery why Ovechkin hits Malkin that goes for two years already?
Because of Ushakov [Malkin's agent]. Apparently this is my fault that Ovechkin has a conflict with my agent (Evgeny chuckles.)
Was Alexander upset that you have made up this story to the press?
Why I have to be afraid of the truth? (Malkin got rattled.) If a person makes a wrong doing, he should be ashamed. Probably it's not worth for Ovechkin to behave this way next time. And after all it is not a mystery. If I'd keep silent the world would still learn about this story.
Do you talk to Ovechkin?
Haven't talked for two years already...
How do you feel about what Semin said about Crosby?
I've heard that Sasha's words were misinterpreted a bit. He simply stated that he likes Chicago's Kane more. Everybody has their own look at the game and hockey. It's his opinion. I think the best player in the NHL is Crosby.
Did the team discuss media's skandal?
Nobody said nothing. As of Semin, he actually called Sid. And Semin said that those were not his words.
Are you sure he called?
Well, yes. I was told about it by Crosby himself.
Are you tired that before every game between your teams there are continuously erupting conflicts?
Probably it is interesting to the journalists. We just play hockey. But still when you hear offensive words in your address, it jump starts you for the game.
Do you want to say something to Ovechkin?
I wish him to show a good game and score important goals. Perhaps that's all.
You will be playing with him at the Olympics for the national team in 13 months
Already counted? (Malkin smiles.) I hope that the injuries will bypass me. To get to the Olympics is the dream of any player. And Ovechkin... Maybe we'll declare the truce by that time.

The interview was conducted by me, with the SovSport stringer standing idly by with a turned-on recorder. Several questions and answers are mangled beyond recognition. Several phrases are made up entirely. Sadly, such is the style of work of several non-professionals enlisted by SS. Not the first time, not the last.

Once again: why would we believe an anonymous poster, who claims to be Malamud?
I'm a huge Ovechkin fan, but Malkin actually sounds like a classy guy in that interview.
i used to like malkin, but he has been playing this victim card too much. i especially didn't like the interview he did when he was asked about ovechkin, and he laughed and said, you mean "alexander the great". that kind of backhand disrespect does not sit well with me.
Честно говоря,история эта уже изрядно поднадоела...Точнее-обсуждения из категории "кто,что,кому сказал и т.д." Ясно,что разногласия между Овечкиным и Малкиным есть и они,возможно,достаточно серьезны.Но это только их дело,и я абсолютно уверена,что вскоре они сами разберутся,как достойно выйти из сложившейся ситуации(ведь на Олимпиаде в Ванкувере будет не до пустяков:)!Нужно будет,во что бы то не стало,ее выигрывать,а это возможно лишь в случае полного подчинения своих личных амбиций интересам команды!(во сказанула;)
Единственное,о чем я бы посоветовала переживать всем болельщикам,так это о том,чтобы все около-хоккейные дела не помешали нашим ребятам сохранить победный настрой!!!
