Filatov's interview to Sport-Express

 Some excerpts from Slava Malamud's interview with Nikita Filatov, Jan. 12, 2009:

Was the game against Washington, the most Russian team of NHL, a special event?
Of course. Moreover Alexander Ovechkin is my friend, I know him fairly long. And just in general to play against the best hockey player the world... And Fedorov was my childhood idol. When you are on the ice against them, in such an atmosphere, plus it was also against one of the best "home" teams in the league... Unforgettable.


About his hat-trick:



Did they throw a lot of hats on ice?
A ton. They collected them all and took somewhere. I do not know, maybe they can then share some with me.
