LOL, I guess a guy who put in Ovie's backcheck was obviously his fan.

Like someone said, nobody's right and nobody's wrong about the celebrations. Don Cherry is old, he wants to see it traditional way and it's always like that for old timers. Add to that his xenophobia and fear to lose in Vancouver to Russians.

What Don Cherry can't get is that Ovechkin is bigger than him. Ovechkin is bigger than Don Cherry because he goes on ice and re-writes the NHL history every day. He is the winner, he is the best thing to hockey since Wayne Gretzky, and he has the right to celebrate it in his own way. And if you want to see offensive celebrations, check with Theo Fleury.
