Avery puts his stick blade on Ovechkin's throat (video)
We know about obvious "love" between Don "the fruitcake" Cherry and Sean Avery. But you can't argue with Cherry on this. I somehow missed this episode (this was maybe because the ref was standing between the camera and Ovechkin).
Avery comes to Ovechkin who is down on ice and puts his stick blade right on Ovie's throat.
This must be a lifetime suspension for Avery!
Speaking about the ref, how could he not give unsportsmanlike penalty to Avery, he was standing right there!

We "applaud" to New York Rangers organization, their GM, Head Coach Tortorella who employ such trash. If something would happen, they must be responsible for that as well.

The refs need to give Avery harsher penalties and not let any of his dangerous antics go unpenalized.
Avery also broke his stick on someon's face...no penalty there either.
As if the jacket shouldn't be enough of a reason to question this guy's judgment, but he called Lundqvist "Lundstrom" not once, not twice, but THREE times (and never once correctly called him "Lundqvist"). Clearly listening to himself talk is Cherry's #1 priority. Give me a break.
I noticed the "Lundstrom" as well. Cherry's clothes are worse than anything I've ever seen, and I really can't stand him. But he has a huge point here - why the &*(* are the refs/league not penalizing Avery for ALL his injury-attempting actions? Avery is a total disgrace to hockey.
