Fedorov's Dad sniping from Florida

 Sport-Express, Apr. 19, 2009:

Has Sergei Fedorov ever had a series where, after two home games he was "burned" 0-2, but still managed to get to the next round?
I do not remember. No, probably not.

Is Washington doomed?
I wouldn't say so. 0-2 is still not a sentence. Especially considering that it might be easier for Capitals to play in New York than at home.

Why? Do you think Rangers will be forced to change tactics at home?
No, the Rangers have only one model, the defensive one. They will continue to follow it for sure. But Washington will no longer feel the pressure of their home audience, they will play more relaxed.

Could you expect before playoffs started that one of the East favorites will begin the series that bad?
I have already said that Washington played too unmotivated at the end of the regular championship. And such things are not forgiven in the NHL. Plus coach Tortorella initially looked like a stronger figure than Washington's Boudreau. So the result unfortunately does not look illogical.

I wondered when Viktor would chime in...

Also, he might want to check his memory, b/c the 2002 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings opened w/ 2 stinkers at home, got booed out of the Joe, and seemed to have done alright for themselves...
