  • Alex Ovechkin was held to three shots on goal in Game 5. During the regular season, Ovechkin had three or fewer shots in a game only six times, including zero times in the last 29 games and just once in the last 48 (Feb. 3 at NJ, 1 shot). Including Games 1 through 4 of this series, Ovechkin had four or more shots on goal in 33 consecutive games. Ovechkin shots by game: 13, 6, 5, 11, 3. Ovechkin's 38 shots in five games combined are more than the Rangers have taken in any one game.

  • The Caps are 4-31 in 48:35 of power play time (47 PP shots). Alexander Ovechkin has drawn five penalties in the series. The Caps have scored two PPGs (both in Game 1) on penalties drawn by Ovechkin.

  • Ovechkin in the series: 118:24 of ice time, including 40:11 on the PP. Ovechkin has taken 38 shots on goal, has had 22 shots blocked, as well as 20 missed shots. Ovechkin has accounted for 23% of the shot attempts (80 of 341) by Washington.
    Ovechkin has two goals on 38 shots in the series. During the regular season, Ovechkin scored one goal per every 9.4 shots (56 goals on 528 shots).
