Dynamo is not interested in Nylander
From Sport-Express, Oct. 21, 2009:
Washington Capitals forward Michael Nylander wants to continue his career in the KHL. According to Sport-Express his party is interested in the employment of the hockey player in one of the elite clubs in KHL, including Locomotive [Yaroslavl] and Moscow Dynamo. During the lockout Nylander has already played in Russia for Ak Bars [Kazan], and some time ago his brother Peter played for Amur [Khabarovsk], recalls SE correspondent Alexander Shapiro.
Rashid Khabibullin, Dynamo's selection manager:
Nylander's agent Paul Theofanous did call us on Monday and offered the services of his ward. And he was ready to even postpone the signing of the contract and offered to take Nylander for a monthly tryout.
As far as I know we were not the first in Russia who were offered to look at the veteran; this player has been trying to move to the KHL for the third month already. But Dynamo decided that they don't need the Swede. We doubt that the hockey player who missed almost all of the last season, could become of real value for the team.

In other news Ovechkin's buddy Ilya Kovalchuk denied the reports about St. Petersburg's SKA hockey club. "We didn't receive any offers from SKA," said Kovalchuk.
