Tough to swallow

Caps 5, Flyers 6 OT.

How many times Caps were supposed to win this game tonight?

Still we liked this game more than the Caps vs Leafs. Caps did everything right, after the first it was 0:0. That's what the doctor has ordered, defense first. And then things got wild, but not sloppy (xcept Simon), and Ovechkin puts two goals in. Effing shooting game, what can you say. Boudreau has learned tonight that Varly is not ready and that Jose is. Bring Neivirth into the mix. Varly is too unpredictable, but he is the future, of course. Semin was awesome, as we predicted it's gonna be his season, but all the heroics from both Alexes were not enough.

The salt to the wound: the effing Brier's OT winner.

Ovechkin stats:
2 goals, 1 assist, +2, total ice time 22:54, average shift 01:02, 7 shots on goal, 3 attempts blocked, 0(!) hits.

Speaking of hits, Caps had 11, Flyers had 21.
