Ted Leonsis invited a young boy and his father to his box for a game between the Capitals and Panthers. After the game he was able to meet some of his favorite players and get autographs. The boy is allergic to many food items, eats through a tube, yet still plays hockey, well.

Alex Ovechkin has been put on IR to make room for Eric Fehr. Ovechkin still could return Wednesday.
"Alex wants to push it but [if] he trips on someone's bad ice and goes into the corner, we're sort of hurting ourselves at that point," Boudreau said. "We'll see how it is Monday and Tuesday and see if it's getting better."
Alex is riding a bike, no skating for him for now.

I fear it's Long Term Injured Reserve time for Ovi and we don't see him until after Thanksgiving.
Alex Ovechkin is a strong&young guy. He will be in good health very soon but we have to give him time to be in good health. He had an injury.
We have to be very carefull with injuries.
For example Masha Sharapova had an injury which was not detected at time and she had to stop playing tennis for a year because her shoulder injury became serious.
I don't want it for Alex Ovechkin.
At least Ovechkin's injury was detected at time. They will save him.
Anyway I hope Sharapova&Ovechkin will meet each other very soon at an ice hockey match in DC. It was the wish of Alex Ovechkin.
He will play his best ice hockey with the presence of Sharapova.

ya but tennis is different u use nothing but shoulder in tennis so ya if they tell u to rest it and u dont it's gunna suck for u.

I read this Blog on Yahoo Sports....what is going on? They say now 4-5 weeks off..but The Caps refute this. Can someone out there narrow it all down? I have him in my hockey pool. I can't afford him off for 4-5 weeks, but some doctor out there must be able to say for sure that he should not play for X number of weeks. What is the truth?

LOL>.ya..sure..I'll trade him for Jeff Finger....that's fair...but with about 50% of the online injury reports, this nonsense about "upper body Injury" is crappola...they know what the issues are, but unlike the NFL, they seem to be able to skirt around the exact locations of the injuries and timeframes. I'm sure a team doctor can give a decent timeframe and location on this injury. Hmm..maybe next time I call in sick, I'll just tell my boss, "oh well, it's a lower bosy injury". I'm sure she'll understand..LOL
