I'm rooting for you, Ovie.
But most of all I love watching Alex Ovechkin play hockey. Partly it's because of the unabashed enthusiasm with which he skates and hits - but to be quite frank, I just love watching him score goals. And considering the era in which he plays, he may be the best ever at it.
For those of you who are currently over the age of 20, Ovechkin provides you the only chance that you'll see that magical feat accomplished in your lifetime. Believe it. There exist only five goal-scoring immortals in the 50-in-50 club (Rocket Richard, Mike Bossy, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Brett Hull). Wouldn't it be fitting for Alex Ovechkin to join that list? I'm rooting for you, Ovie. I'm pretty sure we all are.
