Ovechkin-mania hit downtown Vancouver on Thursday.
Hundreds of fans lined up at the Hudson Bay's Olympic store for a jersey and picture autograph-signing session with NHL superstar Alexander Ovechkin.
Not since the glamour days of fellow-Russian-Canucks superstar Pavel Bure has Vancouver seen such excitement as Ovechkin's two-hour appearance.
"He's absolutely sexy," said Tess Lawrence of North Vancouver. "I think he's the best player that the NHL has produced."

Alex is being treated like a rock star in Vancouver. This is deservedly so. Alex is two-time reigning MVP; has great charisma; and is a First Team NHL All-Star.
