What Uncle Misha thinks about Ovechkin's Captaincy
Great Pavel Lysenkov of Sovetsky Sport talked to Ovechkin's Dad Mikhail during Caps game vs. Maple Leafs:
During the break I went outside where you would normally see Ovechkin's Dad smoking.
"Two points this period, it will be a new record," I told him. "Knock on wood," brushed Uncle Misha.
"Has anything changed in Sasha's game since he became a Captain?"
He is thinking about the team even more. "Points are good, Dad, but it is no longer important. We must win the Stanley Cup." Before if my son would go two-on-one on the goalie, then I knew that he would rather shoot. Now I'll put my money on him giving the pass to his teammate.

I love that 8 is thinking team...but if 8's passing on a 2 on 1 then coach needs to remind him that he's the best goal scorer in the league and it's in the team's best interest for him to shoot! More shooting Ovi! Although, maybe he's trying to lull the league to sleep with his recent pass happy play and will unleash shot after shot in the playoffs. (I hope so).
