"Everybody's waiting for one guy!"

Ilya Bryzgalov was the last who arrived in Vancouver and he showed up on ice 20 minutes after the training started. All players at that time were in the center of the ice and greeted Phoenix goalkeeper with the sticks knocking on the ice. In response Ilya performed the steps, skated on one leg with his hands to the sides.

While the team did a training session which lasted less than an hour, the stands followed them with constant camera flashes. Not only journalists, but also the employees of the arena gathered to see the "red machine" headed by Alexander the Great. He became the protagonist of the show after the end of the training. On the way to the locker room reserve goalkeeper Vasily Koshechkin even muttered through his mask about the media, "Everybody's wating for one guy!" It took Ovechkin about an hour to make his way to the locker room while he was talking to the media ...

After the training team Russia, who was staying in the hotel in the surbubs of Vancouver, moved to the Olympic Village. They will be staying there to the end of the Olympic games.

Note:
Russia still keeps several reserve players in vicinity, for example, Alex Kovalev is in reserve, but he is not in the roster. Koshechkin is a reserve goalie, again, he is not in the list. The official Russian goalies are Nabokov, Bryzgalov and Varlamov. What's funny is that Bykov said they would play only Bryzgalov and Nabokov before elimination round, and very unlikely Varlamov would be seen on the ice. Why they brought Koshechkin? Beats me, maybe he'll be a water boy. :-)
