Ovechkin and Kovalchuk are Alternates, Morozov will wear C

According to Pavel Lysenkov and Vitaly Slavin Morozov was again appointed as team Russia's Captain, while Ovi and Kovy got A's.

Also Pavel reports about team Russia's quintets:

Black - Semin, Datsyuk, Ovechkin, Grebeshkov(Google translation: Scallops :-), Korneev;
Red - Afinogenov, Malkin, Kovalchuk, Tyutin, Gonchar;
Blue - Morozov, Zinoviev, Zaripov, Markov, Nikulin;
White - Kozlov, Fedorov, Radulov, Volchenkov, Kalinin.

If you don't know, the Russians have a long tradition of changing lines altogether with both defensemen. In North America defensemen have their own rotation separate from the forward lines.

In Russia all five players go for a change, that's why they call them a quintet change, not a line change.

Also Sasha Semin told Pavel that his roommate is Radulov. I guess Ovi rooms with Kovy, or maybe with Nikulin? Nikulin is the guy who shares with Ovi cut in half Canadian lucky loonie.

Correction: Kovalchuk's roomate is Morozov. Varlamov is staying with Grebeshkov (they used to be roomates in juniors)

Varly's first name in googletranslate is "Seeds".

So it's awesome that Seeds and Scallops are roomies.

LOL.

Trivia:
Oh, Scallops would be a translation of Morskoy(sea) Grebeshok. Grebeshok refers to the "comb" on the rooster's head.
Russian name Semyon is derived from hebrew Simeon (He who listens). Varlam by the way is a Russian name of Chaldean origin(Son of God).
