Ovechkin's star cam during the game vs Pens

Louis M. Alvarez/Associated Press
The Washington Capitals' Alex Ovechkin skates past hats after scoring his third goal in the third period Sunday against the Penguins.

Puck Daddy, "Sunday's three stars":
No. 1 Star: Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals

The Washington captain knows when the bright lights and national spotlight are on him and he didn't disappoint this afternoon as the Capitals extended their winning streak to 14 games with a 5-4 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Ovechkin tallied a hat-trick and almost a fourth goal as his shot that led to Mike Knuble's game-winner in overtime hit the post. (Knuble also stood up for Ovechkin after Craig Adams boarded him in the first period) Surprisingly, it was Ovechkin's first three goal game of the season and he has now scored eight times in his last five games bringing his season total to 42, three more than Sidney Crosby.

Emily reports live, AO Star cam:

You can see Ovi gets injured and still stays in the game, for those who know how energetic Ovi is, it's a pain to watch him after Pens player injured him. But Ovi goes on and buries effing Pens after that.

It was a high-stick, who is a whiny baby here?
"He sells it all the time," Orpik said, accusing Semin of using theatrics to draw the penalty. "The kid's a baby. He does it all game long. I've got zero respect for the kid.

"If it was a penalty, it was a penalty. I don't know. But the kid does that all game long. It's tough to lose on that [series of events]."

Tarik El-Bashir, Washington Post, Monday, February 8, 2010:
Q,: It looked like Ovechkin was hurting in the third period? Any color on the injury?

Tarik El-Bashir: He took a crosscheck to his kidney area in the neurtal zone. He looked to be fine after the game.

Great video. And a great Caps comeback!

Does anyone have footage of/ a link to Knuble's fight after Ovie was hit?
