Congratulations to Alex and team Russia for winning :) Our Slovak team played good, but Russians were better and deserve to win.
YES!!! Final score Russia 3 Slovakia 1 with Ovie scoring the game winning goal. I read he was named player of the game and awarded a brand new Rolex, as if he needs it. I never heard of awarding prizes for each game, so this was news to me.
Ovie looks great. He seems very happy to be representing his country at the WC and having fun playing hockey again. This was my hope before the tournament started and I hope it continues to the end, hopefully with Team Russia victorious defending their title. It will help ease my pain after the Caps Game 7 loss knowing Ovie is on the mend at last.
Thanks, Andrea! Halak is the best!
