Ovechkin meets the media in Vegas minutes ago
Our field reporter Emily live from Las Vegas: "If that hat could talk... what stories would it tell?"

From Pierre LeBrun, June 22, 2010, 6:30pm: Ovechkin meets the media in Vegas minutes ago
By Tim Wharnsby, CBCSports.ca, June 22, 2010:
Washington captain Alexander Ovechkin was asked on Tuesday what was the more important trophy to him. "I'll take both," said Ovechkin, who was looking forward to hitting the poker tables.
Meanwhile Lavo suggest to Ovi to stay there for another day: :-)

By JONATHAN MCDONALD, The Province, JUN 22 2010:
Henrik Sedin met Alex Ovechkin for the first time during Tuesday's media availability at the Palms Hotel. The Canucks' centre certainly recognized Ovechkin. Ovechkin, for his part, didn't ask Henrik to help him with his bag. “I think he recognized me, it's the red hair,” said Sedin, who's up against Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby for both the Hart Trophy and the Ted Lindsay at Wednesday's NHL award ceremony.
This is Henrik's first trip to Las Vegas and, to say the least, it's made an impression on him. “It's crazy,” he said. “We've got nothing like this in Sweden.”
Then again, Sedin has made an impression on Ovechkin.
“You can see how different players step up another level,” said Ovechkin. “It's good for the league, good for the players. They can see it's not the same guys winning every year.”

I can't wait to see more pics. Ovie and JR at a bikini fashion show? Well that should answer the question once and for all about whether we should get sleazier LOL!

The problem with the Sedins is that you never know which brother you have encountered. Twins have way too much fun passing themselves off as each other.
There aren't any other places like Vegas although some areas are modeling themselves after the city and starting to catch up.
As for Ovie, after how much he ended up liking Vegas last year, I'm surprised he hasn't put it on his vacation itinerary - aside from the Awards. I can picture him flying over with some friends for a week or two to really get to know the city.
