Happy Independence Day!

Happy 4th to everyone!

And here are more photos from Latvia, baptism of Nikulin's son and the dinner. (H/t to Anna Pepper)

From intelligent.lv/ru/Ilya_Nikulin_krestil_syna/109_28727.html:

A gala dinner was held in the evening after Baptism on the Lielupe (Jurmala) shore at the restaurant La Riva. The party guests presented gifts to Ignatius (jewelry, toys and souvenirs). The audience was particularly amused by the cartoon depicting a baby with his biological and godparents having a cup of tea. A popular Latvian band Romiros was playing during the dinner, after which the master of ceremonies invited everyone to take part in the games. One of the memorable moments of the evening was one hour concert by Timati, who arrived to Latvia to congratulate the young couple with the baptism of his son. Exactly at 23:00 the sky was lit up with flashes of Lielupe salute and the very celebration ended well after midnight.

"after the water comes to a boil, you add carrots, onions and one baby" the last pic was funny, but the priest looks a little rough :-)

The rest of the pics of Ovi are very yummy ;-)

This blog continues to provide me with lots of reasons to smile and rejoice despite my medical issues. Thank you for the lovely pics of a beautiful family, a beautiful ceremony, and, of course, the magnificent Ovie. He looks fabulous, as usual.

Jewelry for a baby boy? Are they hoping he'll be the next Liberace?

I don't think it's like diamond rings and pearls lol That would be funny, though.

I love serious Ovie! In the third picture... aww!

He really had a busy week, didn't he? Awards, ajax thing, baptism thing, BMW thing... wow!

As I looked thru the pix, two things stood out - one that Ovi's trusty Caps lid made it to Latvia (yay!), and that Ilya is about the best daddy ever. He had his son in his arms the whole day and night.

@Emily,

Only two things stood out? What about the mullet?
