How Max Talbot was totally hammered first time he met Ovechkin
Yeah, Talbot, seems like you are not just a douche bag, you are a liar as well...
Liar, liar, pants on fire... Here's how Max Talbot met Ovechkin for the first time and I guess it had a lasting impression on him:
"I just hate the guy," Talbot told The X on Tuesday.
Next time when Talbot will get plastered in 2D by Ovechkin, he'll remember his comment he made today.

In his five-year NHL career (all stuck in Pittsburgh), Talbot has scored 44 goals total. Ovechkin has scored 45 or more goals in every single one of his five NHL seasons. Talbot was born in Quebec. Ovechkin was recently named Russia’s top male star. Ovechkin has been named the NHL players’ MVP the past three years — a feat matched only by Wayne Gretzky and Guy LaFleur.

I believe someone's been holding a grudge for a very long time and that someone is named Max Talbot.
(So, when Malkin introduced him to Ovi, he probably wasn't very favorably disposed to him anyhow.)
I posted this on the Caps board, but I think it's worth saying again. Avery attacked Phaneuf's off-ice character and was suspended 6 games for it. I don't see how this is any different. It will be interesting to see if the NHL fines him or does anything because he's a Pen.

Talbot was talking about meeting Ovie for the first time OFF ice, not their prior on ice interactions. Many guys in the NHL have never met outside the "office."
What a douchebag. He doesn't even know Alex enough to even form such an opinion. He's probably just pissed that he's only 1/10th of the player Alex is.
Players should not attack the other players like that off-ice. It's rude, immature, unprofessional and downright slander. So I hope he's suspended like Avery. Because he's acting JUST LIKE Avery.
Dawn.. you say that he doesn't know Alex well enough to form such an opinion well do you really know Talbot well enough to call him a douchebag? I believe not I don't think there should be a double standard here...
What else do you need to know about Talbot? Is his act over the radio is not enough for you? You can't urinate on the street, but this is what Talbot did. Actually, you can, but you'll have to pay for it. So will Talbot.
