Ovechkin visited his junior hockey school

A new tattoo?

One of the most famous Dynamo alumni Alexander Ovechkin, who is training these days in Moscow, has visited the Dynamo hockey junior school where he began his journey in hockey. Together with his father and the American TV crew, working on a film about one of the best hockey players of the world, Alexander Ovechkin walked through the school, looked into the dressing room, talked with the coaches, supporting staff and the management of junior hockey school. The Washington Capitals forward and an official adviser to the President of UHC Dynamo promised that in September he will hold a hockey clinic for the hockey school students.
Alexander Ovechkin: "Finally Dynamo has the people who are paying more attention to the school. Now there is an understanding that the school must receive an every day attention and that we must invest in our own students. Now the school is being renovated, and in September the boys will train in better conditions. I will definitely come here again and go on the ice with them, go and show what I can do. I'm sure it will be interesting to me and to them."

It looks like Ovie found another red caps hat! What great pics of Ovie. Thanks for sharing, TJ. I'm glad that Ovie changed his clothes for the filming of the video. Not sure that the NHL would appreciate his girls streaking street.
opps that was supposed to be girls streaking shirt. That's what I get for multi-tasking,
Looks like he's sporting his ZigTech shoes.
His tattoo is peaking out under his arm in the first photo. It seems higher up on his side. I wonder if he has added to it.
@O: I was about to say that! ...we need to get that shirt off him so we can see it... In theory, it's an easy task. lol
It's cool he's doing that for his club, but even that he's doing it for any hockey school, really. Not that I'd expect him not to care, but you don't see enough of it these days.
But yeah, he sounds like a real douche... o_O lol
Thanks for all the great pics TJ.
@AB: I can only imagine what the NHL would say if they saw their marquee player in the females streaking shirt. How about Don Cherry? He is, after all, a wardrobe guru ROFL!
@O and Mango: I'm very curious about that tattoo. Oh if only we would get a pic of shirtless Ovie, all in the interests of conducting research of course LOL!
@AB,
He is wearing an All-Star Game hat.
@O: nice catch of the All Star game hat.
This is OT, but I keep forgetting to ask. How often do you get to Caps games at Verizon Center and practices at Kettler Iceplex?
BobbyG do you live close enough to go to practice? Maybe your health doesn't allow it.
My aunt has season tickets so I went to most home games last season, if she didn't sell them. They are very good seats. Close to the ice but not too close. Its also near where Chris Cooley and other skins players sit right on the glass in the Comcast seats. I've been to practice once last season. I'm going to the caps conference this year.
I must be slipping. I noticed the shoes, and not the tattoo peeking out!
I go to one game a month and 2-3 practices a week.
@O: you are very lucky, thanks for the reply.
@AB: you're lucky too. Unfortunately I live way too far away to go see the Caps in person. My dream is to save up enough money for a trip to DC when the Caps are on a home stand and go to some games and practices. But that will have to wait until after my chemo is done, and then the radiation that follows. Health issues and lack of finances are the two mountains I have to climb before my dream can become a reality. I remain hopeful.
@BobbyG,
How far away are you?
@O: almost 2000 miles
@BobbyG I hope your health improves and your finances rebound and you are able to take your dream trip here to DC.
I quite enjoyed going to practice, but I live in Maryland and Kettler isn't as convenient to get to.
The four seats right next to the two my aunt has as a season ticket holder are owned by the Caps. Usually they are empty, although in Game 7 of the playoffs against Montreal they were occupied by Gary Bettman, Brendan Shanahan, Bill Daly, and some other NHL guy. I got some stalkerish cell phone pics of them:) They were definitely hoping for the Caps to win from what I could tell. When Ovie scored that disallowed goal at the beginning of the 3rd period and they all jumped up, especially Brendon Shanahan, who was cheering.
i thought i had seen a that new tattoo on ovechkin before. in the "ovechkin enjoys vacation in jurmala" from june, you can see it there, too.
