Ovechkin will be back in DC in the middle of the week
From Alyonka's blog, Sept. 13, 2010, "It's a wrap":
Tonight, the filming of the Alex Ovechkin DVD was officially wrapped. Alex flew in from Moscow two hours before our scheduled shoot. I will say that his dedication to the project was something else. I’m proud. The end product will be fantastic.
And here's the best hot dog stand according to Ovi, according to Alyonka :-)

The NHL seems to be having some "events" with the league stars. That is what is keeping Ovie in NYC for so many days.
I wonder why Ovie prefers that hot dog stand? Has he been to Papayas or Coney?
@O: Again, I was there a week too early, grrr. Oh well. Lessons learned for next year.
IMO, Barks in Brooklyn have the best hot dogs by far. Way better than Nathans and any other ones.
Ovie needs to trek a bit further to the upper East side of NYC, to Papaya King on 3rd Ave. and 86th St. It's been a while since I was there, but IMO they have the best hot dogs in the city, maybe the entire country.
Yes the NHL has special events going on. Kane and Toews from the Stanley Cup champions Blackhawks, Crosby and Stamkos the co-Rocket Rickard winners, Ovie the Ted Lindsay winner are among those who will be involved. I'm guessing the NHL is doing something to promote and showcase the new young guns of the league, a changing of the guard, to kick off the new season.
