Ovechkin has been a CCM pitchman since 2005, and this video obtained by Puck Daddy is the viral kickoff to a huge marketing campaign for new skates -- the CCM U+ Crazy Light -- being rolled out this fall. It's also fairly amusing, if you like Ivan Drago imitations
In the following clip, a stubborn, prima donna Alex Ovechkin(notes) refuses to remove his skates and causes a commercial director to throw a profanity-laden fit on set.
Ovi says, "Поехали" [Poyekhali] (Let's go)
This phrase or word is famous in Russia because the first man in outer space Yuri Gagarin said it when his rocket went up.

That video was funny, especially when Ovi said "I will break you" and sat there with his skate clad feet on the table.

Vimeo or whatever it is suuuuuuucks as a host. Just saying. Thank gods I have Orbit to suck it right off there and watch it on my computer. I couldnt get it to load past 5 seconds! Ovi gets out of the car, reload, ovi gets out of the car, reload... actually thats not that bad since he gets out butt forward. lol
Hilarious. I hope Ovie managed to keep a straighter face on later takes.
@bwitch16: I'd say Ovie's rocket is the size that went to the moon in the Apollo program, a Saturn 5. Actually, I'd say it's more like a Saturn 8. LMAO!

Thinking of the HBO 24/7 series, if they really want to play up the Crosby = good and Ovie = bad angle, this CCM spot with Ovie as Drago will fit right in. I'm laughing so hard now it hurts.
OMG that was funny. It looks pretty set up though, which is probably a good thing! lol
