It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Hockey is back. Tonight, the Capitals open up the 2010-11 NHL season in Atlanta against the Thrashers. We spent yesterday traveling to Atlanta, and spent last night watching other NHL games, which is what we do when the Capitals aren’t playing.
It feels good to be back.

It is time to turn the page and move on. As difficult as it was for me to get over the pain and disappointment from the Caps' early playoff exit, once training camp opened I was renewed and ready for another campaign. When the puck drops for the first regular season game, I'll be rocking the red like all other Caps fans. Tonight the fun starts on the road, tomorrow is the home opener. Bring it, let's get it on!

What a scary way to start the season. I also send best wishes for a full and speedy recovery to Pavelec. Does anyone know more details about what happened and the prognosis for his recovery?
