Steinberg interviewed D Hall about it:
Wednesday, after Matt Terl brought up the photo, I asked Hall to describe Ovechkin's game.
"Probably [like] LaRon Landry," Hall said. "100 miles an hour. A lot more offense, though."
Hall also talked a bit about his relationship with Ovechkin.
"He just came up to me after the game, said what's up, wanted to see how everything was going," Hall said. "I've met him a couple times before....I'm a huge fan of his, though, huge fan of his. Definitely wanted my son to meet him, 'cause he don't really know a lot about hockey, but hey, this is the LeBron James of hockey. I had to try to break it down to him like that. So he kind of understood that. I'm gonna have to take him to a couple hockey games this year. You know, he's a Skins fan. As D.C. guys, we all got to stick together. We all go support John Wall, he's been to a couple [football] games too, so we'll all stick together."
Indeed, just within the past few days, Brandon Banks has gone to a Wizards game, and Andre Carter to a Caps game, and several Caps were at Sunday's Redskins game. Terl asked Hall if this was a cool little fraternity to be part of.
"Yeah, if you're winning," Hall said. "So we've all got to win."
