Went to practice today, OMG Ovie was sooooo happy on the ice. You could tell he loved beating the Pens. He was goofing off, smiling a lot, laughing, playing around with the fans. When he came out to sign he had the biggest smile on his face. Look at this gapped tooth smile

After watching him over the past several games, Ovie's finally coming out of a bit of a kind of long-standing funk. The spark in his play is coming back, his hitting's ramping up to phenomenal and he looks like he's back to enjoying just getting to play the game of hockey. As a viewer and a fan, this is what was missing. His scoring "slump" will change for the positive surely. But, with the new system the team is trying to solidify (fingers crossed), he may not ever burn up the back of the net like he did. It's okay. If the team is winning, it's okay. Ovie has said as much himself.

For what it's worth, I enjoy Katie's reporting. It's objective, basic and contains verifiable facts. She has worked hard to find her own footing here and not without challenges either. Good on her!
