Someone on another blog says the blonde behind the Papa John's sign is Ovi's new squeeze.

That blonde looks really familiar - it might be Masha Grigoryeva-Appolonova. She says that she and Ovie are friends, but if she's visiting and sitting with his friends, maybe they are more?
I think the blonde is with the Russian guy sitting next to her. Plus, Masha is married, in her 30s, and has two kids. Ovie doesn't seem like a poacher.
That guy in the hat is one of Ovie's friends. I recognize him from all the on ice family and friends stuff at the Winter Classic.
If the leopard print blonde is Masha, she stayed at the Team Russia hotel during last year's World Championships. She's a Team Russia groupie/mascot, sometimes linked romantically to Ovi even though she's married. IIRC she and her husband gave Ovi the sheep Basha that's in some photos from the family dacha outside Moscow. Masha and Ovi have always denied a relationship, saying they're just good friends.
I just checked the other board. Someone says the blonde isn't Masha, she's Russian singer Julia Dachanova who was Ovi's gf two years ago. This person also says Ovi and Julia were together at Lady Gaga's concert in DC last week. I can't tell from the Papa John's pic if the blonde is either one or not. Is Ovi recycling former gfs now, has he gone through all the blondes in Moscow???

Have any of these girls been real blondes. What is up with the fake blonde fetish in Russia? Most of these girls look better with their natural shades of light or dark brunette.

interesting side note. 6 out of Ovie's 9 GWG's were the 3rd tally for the Capitals in the game. that is insane haha
So happy to see vintage Ovie in OT. His constructive determination paid off and his on ice joy is always a pleasure to see.
I think it is interesting that many newer (younger) coaches are doing away with the morning skate. They use the time for video reviewing instead.
As for the female, he seems to have friends visiting again. There is nothing unusual in that. If it's an ex, maybe he's in need of benefits since BobbyG lives so far away. ;P

(Many things there implied that I wished I could rub off of my memory).
I saw that goal (just all that power when he pushed/knocked away the opposing player) and wow - got to say, anti-jinxes must work.
@O: is Ovi8 the real deal, no chance someone pretending to be him? Why do you think he decided to return after being gone over 2 years? He says he's at Club Glow now, so maybe we'll see some new video of him singing and dancing, and (hopefully) much improved LOL.
I agree with you about the other OT stuff posted here. I don't see anything unusual about Ovie inviting people to visit him in DC, to go to games, concerts, etc. IMO Ovie is a very loyal friend who doesn't care what their income is, what they look like or what anyone says about what they look like. IMO this is one of his very best qualities.
Oh, and to stay OT, I loved seeing vintage Ovie again! His goal was a joy to behold, and I want to see more. Not too shabby a GWG stat for this "slacker" as TJ noted. :)

Supposedly you can't do that if you're just part of the 'normal' public.

Ovi's Twitter account used to be ghost written by Nate Ewell - Nate would write what Ovie said. It started as a gimmick at the All-Star game two years ago. (That is also why the first set Tweets were spelled correctly. :D)
After Nate left, Ovie talked to him about Twitter and starting to Tweet again. Nate encouraged him...and Ovie does nothing by half-measures. LOL! Having other current Caps Tweeting probably influenced him too.
@Mily, Marge, and O: thanks for the info about Ovie's Twitter account. Poor Kessel, the photo is definitely proof enough for me it's really Ovie LOL.
What is it with the Russians girls bleaching their hair? We need someone familiar with Russian women to answer that question for us.
And I don't think Ovi has dated a brunette since he's was drafted.
