Ovechkin may be playing tonight
This is what Stephen Whyno reports from morning skate.
I'd rather keep Ovi on the bench for another game, but it's up to management to decide of course.
The (finally) healthy guys were tight-lipped about the situation, even though it’s almost certain both guys knew they would play against Carolina. Ovechkin said “maybe tonight” but deferred to Boudreau.
“Well, we’re gonna see what’s gonna happen,” he said. “It’s about coach’s decision, so we’ll see.”
Stephen Whyno really rocks, he beats TWP on every move. The first to report from Kessler, the first to provide full transcripts of interviews... This is how it should be, a full transcript BEFORE video interview is posted on the Capitals web site. Awesome job so far...

Ovie did play. No points on 5 shots, played 19:20 and Caps lost in SO. I wish he would have put some juice into his SO shot and buried it. Maybe he's still not 100% healthy and as TJ suggested could have sat one more game? Five regular season games left for him to tune up. Ovie, please get well.
