Ovechkin at premiere of a new Russian movie
So what's the buzz? Apparently Ovi showed up yesterday at the premiere of a new Russian movie "All inclusive!" with a new girlfriend, a charming brunette. The event at the "October" movie theater in Moscow has gathered a lot of Russian celebrities.

Ah, so Ovie has finally realized that beauty comes in all hair shades after all! Was the red head in the Sasha Sparrow party photo just a decoy to throw the media off track and keep us guessing? This new brunette lady looks lovely, charming and down-to-earth. Maybe we'll see more of her and Ovie together in the coming weeks and months.

@O: yes but Ovie had his hand around the red head's waist and she had her hand on his arm. It seemed like more than just a photo op to me IMO.
@AB: Ovie has been hanging out with Goose and Goose's girlfriend a lot so far. I can't see the blonde's face too clearly in the photo but it could be her.
Ovie has been very busy out in the public eye lately. Emily should also be aware of his latest activities and in contact with TJ. If he has access to a notebook again, we should be getting more Ovie updates very soon, perhaps even before TJ returns from his travels.
@TJ: where exactly are you these days? I hope you're enjoying whatever you're doing. :)
@AB again: I looked more closely at the photo in your link. The blonde has longer hair than Goose's girlfriend in the photo from the Sasha Sparrow party. So it would be interesting to know who the blonde is after all.

Ovie's hand was there because of the way she positioned herself. The hand and posture are neutral.

I also thought that blond pictured with Ovie at the restaurant wasn't Goose's girlfriend, she had longer hair and looks skinnier (as we know Ovie prefers).

Too much yearbook, prom, and event photography in my younger days. I read photos much better than "live" people.
In these photos, the body language is comfortable, but not claiming. Could mean they are friends (known each other for a while) and may be platonic or with benefits or deepening, or they haven't known each other long, but they like each other and the relationship might progress.
Photos where she is engaging Papa Ovie could tell more of the story.
Also there were a few female friends he squired to events 2-3 years ago to keep photogs guessing. Two of them were brunettes. I have the odd feeling that I've seen this one before (or it could be my memory finally waving goodbye).
I also like the narrative you can make from the photos:

2: Talk about the attention

@O: well at least we agree about the body language in the brunette photos. I think she's either an Ovie ex or a platonic friend. There is something familiar about her but I can't recall where or when. I too would be interested in how she interacted with Ovie's Dad. And I really like the narrative you propose for the sequence of photos. :)

Does anyone use Twitter? If so, could someone tweet @ovi8 and ask if he's going to visit Nicky over the summer? (Not that I expect him to answer.)
Does anyone else wish they would spend some time together during the summers?
@O: I wihs they would spend some time together in Nicky's hometown between 22June and 03July when I'll be there, lol. That would be awesome as Gävle is a small boring town otherwise ;-)
Nicky invited Ovie to visit his new house last summer but he said that Ovie didn't want to leave Moscow. Maybe Ovie will change his mind this summer! Nicky did say they talked a few times last summer, including when Nicky signed his contract extension.

We can only hope. I understand wanting to catch up with family and friends after being away most of the year, anyone who's been to college can relate, but unlike Ovie, most college kids start spreading their wings and changing their routines as opportunities present themselves.
I think spending time with Nicky over the summer would be beneficial. (I hear Sweden has lots of blondes.) A few days to a week isn't that much time away from Moscow. If he can spend a few days out of town to attend the wedding of someone he doesn't know (Kuznetsov), then he can find time to visit his most important teammate.
