Good news for Caps from Chelyabinsk
Yuri Golyshak of Sport-Express has interviewed HC Traktor's GM Vladimir Krechin and here's what Krechin said about Evgeny (Zhenya) Kuznetsov:
What is the most inportant, Zhenya was cured completely. From time to time he had shoulder separation and played with constant discomfort. A while back in Moscow he had a surgery that was not very successful. We recently sent him to Germany for diagnosis, and then he was operated by the best surgeon who had a waiting list of injured athletes. Evgeny came back in perfect health, had a wedding at the Tractor's hockey arena.
Q.: Did you attend it?
I was out of town. But Alexander Ovechkin came for the wedding. He lived in the same Beryozka hotel where you are staying now. And in the preseason Tractor traveled to Switzerland and we stayed in four-hour drive from the clinic where Kuznetsov was operated. We sent him there to check if everyhing was alright.
Q.: And what were the results?
It turned out that he's doing really well and can start working out in full force.
That's Europe, 4 hour drive and you are in another country (Germany)...

Since Switzerland and Germany share a border you don't even need to drive 4 hours just to be in another country in that case.
It doesn't take long to get anywhere West haha Going to a different country in Europe is like going to a different state in the US. Except those few who don't let open travel. Like Russia. Too much people wanting to hurt us, I guess.
I'm excited for the KHL season. I know some people don't care, but it's actually a good league. It has some flaws, some major flaws but all in all it's a lot better than what we used to have.
Traktor should do better this season than last. They've made some good moves. Sadly, I don't think Omsk will be as good seeing as they are Jagr-less. Should hold their own though.
