@SergeiKocharov: Ovechkin at St James School today:

Caps captain Alex Ovechkin, left wing Jason Chimera, assistant coach Bob Woods and mascot Slapshot will visit Saint James School in Falls Church, Va., at 1:45 p.m. today. Ovechkin, Chimera and Woods will participate in a question-and-answer session with the students and lead a skills demonstration. They will guide the students through several drills focusing on stickhandling, passing and shooting. The clinic will conclude with several students participating in a brief scrimmage with Ovechkin on one team and Chimera on the other. This is the fifth consecutive year the Capitals have conducted their Hockey School program. The Caps have hosted more than 50 clinics and reached more than 7,500 students in the past four years.

CSN Washington, Sept. 12, 2011:
“I was very saddened to hear that Alex passed away this morning,” Ovechkin said after a visit to Saint James School in Falls Church, Va. “He was a great family man and a friend. He will be dearly missed.”
