Tom Davis interviews the Caps' Alex Ovechkin about playing an exhibition game in Baltimore:
“I don’t want to take his [Cal Ripken Jr.] number in baseball. He’s a Hall-of-Famer and he was the best. I’m lucky I got to meet him,” said the Russian superstar, who met Ripken at fundraising event in January. “It’s always so nice when you meet that kind of person and that kind of a star.”

@Devi: I love the tight pants too, and wish his Orioles jersey would also have been really tight. That way we could tell how well he did on his physical LOL.
BTW, is that the $238,000 wrist watch he wore at the NHL Versace party in NYC? It really coordinated well with the t-shirt he was wearing LOL.
I saw some pics of the watch somewhere but don't remember where. I guess Ovie treated himself to a new watch after getting some mega new coin by signing with Nike and Bauer. :)
Speaking of Nike, I agree with what field reporter Emily said on another thread. I'm already tired of the Air Jordan hat. Ovie, I know you're being paid to endorse them, but let's see something else, preferably CAPITALS related.
