Ovechkin's hit (vs. Nashville)

I was listening to the game today and remember the announcers commenting on a hit Ovie laid out. "welcome to the NHL kid" or something along those lines when then Nashville young kid Ryan Ellis apparently tried to hit the great 8 and Ovie promptly showed him what he is all about. Here's the video.

I read Nicky had a bad game and so did everyone else.
Well, is better to lose now than lose on the opening game of the season.
I love the hit, but it looks soft from this angle.
Well the impressive thing about the hit is Ovie was skating with the puck and after he released it Ellis was attempting to catch Ovie off guard with the hit and Ovie stood up and not only absorbed the hit but pushed back and sent the kid flying.
