Video of Ovechkin doing conditioning test on the first day of training camp

A whole lot of pixels was spent on describing the grueling conditioning test as suicide sprints that Group A took on the first day of the training camp.
Now, thanks to our reader and contributor 'bwitch16', we can watch it!

I was at KCI on Saturday to watch the grueling practice and those sprints were crazy. The guys looked like they were going to puke.

I took some video of Ovi and Mojo's groups, including the one where Ovi started early and fell down, lol.

Ok, here's the short one, Sorry for the shot of my shoes but I was laughing

Now the test begins...

Sorry for the wait in the beginning...

This was the last endurance test before they took their lactate readings to measure how they held up. They pretty much looked ready to puke that point.

Update:
Extra!

as far as everyone saying MarJo is better for Ovie and blah blah. it's ridiculous. a 4th overall pick and a 24th overall pick. sure I know position in the draft doesn't always mean anything but in this case it does. and if that wasn't enough alone how about their point totals. 69 points Backie's first year, 88 points, 101 points and 65 points last year

MarJo his first NHL season he had 69 GP and 27 points....come on. so Backie had one down year and suddenly people think he should no longer center Ovie that the chemistry isn't as strong as MarJo and Ovie...numbers don't lie.

The only reason MarJo would even see time on Ovie's line is because MarJo can't do what Backie can for that 2nd line. MarJo is either the center on Ovie's line or a 3rd line center...anybody else other then Ovie on that first line and MarJo wouldn't even be there. but there's no denying the better center for Ovie is Backie, period.

The Red Wings selected Datsyuk 171st overall...

Nicky sucked last year...

Marcus is much more exciting player than Backstrom and he is a faster skater. Maybe Backstrom is more balanced player, but it comes with experience.

we'll see.

If 62 points is sucking and 29 points for a rookie who played on the levels he did is acceptable then I'd hate to hear what you think of laich. Let's rephrse this backie didn't suck, Ovie didn't suck they had their lowest statistical years but 70%+ of the NHL would love to have sucked that much, MarJo included. Maybe if MarJo sucked half as much as Backie does then he could be the #1 center. Back is the #1 guy no doubt about that

Putting on my coaching hat, it makes total sense to put Nicky with Sasha. Ovi can play with anybody. Mojo doesnt have to be at his best for Ovi to make something happen. Sasha has a ton of talent, but he hasnt had a center that can play consistently. He and Matty P. had some magical moments, but when Matty Ps creativity dips, Sasha loses. Backstrom is an elite and consistent center, regardless of what happened last year. With him on the second line, the Caps have two legit lines that other teams need to pay attention to. With Backstrom on the first line, and an unproven center on the second, the opposing team is much less worried about what that line does.

I agree, Nicky and Sasha look very good together. Remember that tic-tac-toe goal? That was awesome.

Tic Tac Toe for Nicky Sasha, and that "you go - no you go - no you go - no you go - no you go... alright Ill go" goal between Mojo and Ovi against khabibulin last year... certainly the funnest goal of the year! :-)

We used to do stuff like that all the time in High School hockey, except we went from Goal line to blue line, back to goal line, goal line to red line, back to goal line, goal line to far end blue line, back to goal line, goal line to goal line, and finally, back to goal line. We called them Raider Makers (Hastings Raiders - Hastings, MN) Oh, and if we let up (or coasted like I saw Ovi do) they'd make us do it again.......
