Following Tim Thomas' statement on Facebook Alex Ovechkin released his own regarding his absence at All-Star event. Unfortunately Gary Bettman didn't want to explain it to his daughter and it was quickly taken down. Thanks God to cached pages and HTTN site we can still see what it was about:

I gave myself a huge facepalm when I started to read the comments in twitter and other places hahaha! They think is real.
Either people didn't read Timmy T's Facebook statement or they have short memories.
