Alex Semin overslept

Alexander Semin, the Washington Capitals and the national team of Russia forward, did not show up at the press conference in Krasnoyarsk.

The Alexander Semin press conference was supposed to be held today in Krasnoyarsk at the "Arena North" arena. The Minister of Sport, Tourism and Youth of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergey Gurov was supposed to be at the attendance as well.

Alex Semin did not show up at the event, and his mobile phone was not available. The organizers managed to reach him over his home phone and Semin said that he overslept and won't come to talk to the media, reports Sports.ru

He plays the same way, if he feels like it, maybe or maybe not. No sence of responsibility at all, stay in Russia.

I wouldn't judge, maybe they scheduled it a time he didn't agree to initially.

Did you even bother to watch him at all this season? Or are you just going on what people have said about him in the past. It's like the idiots who try to accuse Ovie of not be a team player or caring about his teammates even though he's the first to jump up and down after a goal. Semin under Dale Hunter saw his penalty minutes almost vanish, he was blocking shots, hustling on the pk, doing a lot as a two way player. I love how because his numbers were down people automatically default to "well he only plays when he wants".

Not to attack brooks laich but I love that he had a horrible year after signing a new contract but because he's not Russian (and yes it is a Russian thing) people will give him slack "oh well he's awesome on the pk..." ya well he's a center that's his job to play both sides plus he's always been doing that but we gave him a new contract to do more

It's rediculous how much Ovie and Semin are criticized and it's no wonder because even though they both have improved the defensive side of their game people try to knock them for their lack of offense, make up your mind do you want them to score or do you want them to focus on the defense, they are wingers NOT centers

Marie,calm down!!!! Both Semin and Ovi need to improve defensively and offensively aswell...why do you think they barely played in the playoffs...typical Russians!

@Marge: Thank you!
@Last Anonymous: You are an idiot!

Who were the two players that got us most of the points in the regular season? Ovi and Sasha! Who got more points and goals in the playoffs? Ovi!

Talk after one of your beloved non-Russians gets at the top of this team.

Ovi got less time and still lead the team in points hahaha!!! And Sasha created a lot of chances with even less time ha!

Everybody loved Hunter's idea of defense but you can't win games if you don't score more than one goal, tie a game and keep the lead.

Now, lets all get rid of our typical Russians because they are not capable of winning cups like those guys did in 97 and 98!

BTW, Kovy is going to the final... just saying.

In the Stanley Cup Finals if you combine both teams there are 20 Canadians and 3 Russians...just saying!

@Anonymous:
I know, and up to this day I don't understand why people would blame just three Russians when winning or losing the cup is the whole teams responsibility. A team with more Canadians than Russians!

And when I said Kovy was going to the final I meant that a Russian can help their team win the cup like other Russians have done in past years!
