Oct. 19, 2012 - A new forward, who played on the same line with Alexander Ovechkin in Washington, has arrived to the Dynamo's training facility today. Nicklas Backstrom's contract will be completed after he will pass the medical examination, and will be based on the standard in this case condition, till the end of the season or till the end of the lockout in the National Hockey League. We'd like to remind that Ovechkin - Backstrom duo was considered the most effective for the "Washington Capitals", so it's safe to say that our capital's hockey club Dynamo will receive a huge boost in Backstrom.
Medical examination is scheduled on Saturday morning after which Nicklas will have the first training session with the club. In the evenning Nicklas will come to cheer for Dynamo in the away game vs Mytischi Atlant. Backstrom will play under number 99.

Wish they were in DC but I'm glad they're playing together
With Ovi and Nicky both playing with Moscow Dynamo, it almost seems like the place to watch the Caps is Moscow.
And now Nicky will have to learn Russian, either through Rosetta Stone, a Swedish-Russian dictionary, or whatever.
