Ovi is rooting for his girlfriend Maria at the Kremlin Cup:

MOSCOW, October 17 (RIA Novosti) – Russia’s Maria Kirilenko confessed Wednesday that seeing her boyfriend Alex Ovechkin in the stands spurred her on to victory at the Kremlin Cup. The world No. 16 reached the second round of the singles and quarterfinal of the doubles on Wednesday, all under the gaze of the Washington Capitals star.
“Of course I’m happy that my boyfriend comes and supports me," said Kirilenko. "It boosts my emotions.”

what's to understand... they both seem very passionate about one another, they're both athletes who are passionate about their sport. seems pretty understandable. it's his life and they seem really good together. happy for him and happy for her. wish them all the luck.
Ha, i wasn't talking about him and Maria... I think they are perfect for each other! I'm talking about his friend Magomet sitting next to him in the yawning picture... :)

I believe he is Ovi's bodyguard.
I'm just always curious about who he is with.
On a slightly different topic, Ovi seems to be wearing a Nike hockey hat... Actuallyi have no way to prove it. I realize I'm assuming it's hockey because of the tres kroners... Maybe I'll do some internet research...
