Moscow Dynamo forward Nicklas Backstrom, who scored 5 goals in two games against Vityaz, commented on his performance and shared his thoughts about the opponent with Championat.com correspondent Maria Rogovskaya:

"I don't know why it turned out like that in the games against this team. I haven't scored that many goals against one team since I was 13. It's just that I feel really good after the break [in KHL championship]. Of course, luck has played its role too. After the break I feel good. It took some time before the break for me to adjust to the time zone and different game style. Have I ever heard before about Vityaz? Generally yes, I have. And when I came to Dynamo the guys told me that last year that team loved to fight. But now I don't see such an aggressive play. In these two games there was nothing like that which is good. We're here to play hockey, and not for anything else."
