According to CSNWashington (Sept. 7, 2012), "Ovechkin has spent the past week skating with teammates and has reported to informal workouts at 232 pounds, about 9 pounds heavier than he ended last year's playoffs."
In the last 4 years Alex weight was fluctuating around 230 lbs mark. Here's our March 1, 2012 post:

Caps media guide of 2011/12 has Ovi's weight at 230. According to George McPhee he lost some weight after that to 224. And now it is 232 lbs, is it good or bad?
Probably not good for KHL, haha...
Again, if someone has Caps media guides for 2006/2008 seasons, please email/tweet me his weight, it would be greatly appreciated...
Update:
Bryzgalov, on the other hand, has lost 8 pounds as reported by
Philly.com:
The 32-year-old goalie has been working out at the Skate Zone in Voorhees. He has lost about eight pounds from last season and is ready to play more like the netminder who was a Vezina runner-up in Phoenix.
"I did lots of training this summer," said a smiling Bryzgalov. "As you can see, I'm skinny and prepared."
If Ovi would lose 8 pounds, it would be 222 lbs, a weight closely associated with his best years in scoring... at the age of 21 and 22.
