Goal # 19...
...and goal # 20, which makes him tied for a third place in goals.
Caps 5, Canes 3.
Joel Ward on Alex Ovechkin who has 10G,5A in the past nine games: “Ovi’s been in beast mode the last little bit.” #Caps— Katie Carrera (@kcarrera) April 3, 2013
I was hoping Ovi would score on PP and get ahead of Crosby in PP points. Right now they are tied; Ovechkin has 12 PP goal and 5 assists with total of 17 points. Crosby has 3 PP goals and 14 assists (duh, he is a center), total of 17 points.
Oh well, 2 goals and 1 assist is good enough. :) By the way both goals were scored from the right wing side. Ovi scored only four goal from the right this season. Very cool. What else is cool?
Ovechkin becomes the only player to have scored 20 or more goals each of the last eight seasons (since 2005-06) #Caps— CapitalsPR (@CapitalsPR) April 3, 2013
